  • If weight-code and height-code differ, this uses the one “closest to the top of the chart” (more conservative).
  • Type II moves down 1, Type III down 2; if <48 lb then max down is 1.
  • Age ≤9 or ≥50 moves up 1 after Type adjustment.
  • If the exact DIN cell is blank, it moves left/right to the nearest value in that row.
